What are the eight categories of injection moulds?

(1) Single-part line injection molds
When the mold is opened, the movable mold and the fixed mold are separated, so that the plastic part is taken out, which is called a single parting surface mold and also called a double-plate mold. It is the simplest and most basic form of injection mold. It can be designed as a single cavity injection mold or a multi-cavity injection mold as required. It is the most widely used injection mold.

(2) Double parting surface injection mould
The double parting surface injection mold has two parting surfaces. Compared with the single parting surface injection mold, the double parting surface injection mold adds a partially movable intermediate plate (also called movable gate plate) in the fixed mold part. It is equipped with gates, runners and other parts and components required for fixed molds), so it is also called a three-plate type (moving plate, intermediate plate, fixed plate) injection mold, which is often used for single-type gate feeding. Cavity or multi-cavity injection molds. When the mold is opened, the intermediate plate is separated from the fixed template at a fixed distance on the guide post of the fixed mold in order to remove the condensate of the pouring system between the two templates. Double parting surface injection mold has a complicated structure, high manufacturing cost, and difficult parts processing. It is generally not used for the molding of large or extra large plastic products.

(3) Injection molding with lateral parting line and core pulling mechanism
When the plastic part has side holes or undercuts, it is necessary to use a core or a slider that can move sideways. After injection molding, the movable mold is first moved down a certain distance, and then the slanted section of the bent pin fixed on the fixed template forces the slider to move outward, and at the same time, the pusher of the demolding mechanism pushes the pusher plate to shape the plastic part. Take off the core.

(4) Injection moulding with movable molded parts
Due to some special structures of plastic parts, injection molds are required to be provided with movable molding parts, such as movable convex molds, movable concave molds, movable inserts, movable threaded cores or rings, etc. Move out of the mold together and separate from the plastic part.

(5) Automatic thread unloading injection moldings
For plastic parts with threads, when automatic demolding is required, a rotatable threaded core or ring can be set on the mold, using the mold opening action or the rotating mechanism of the injection molding machine, or a special transmission device to drive the threads The core or threaded ring rotates to release the plastic part.

(6) runnerless injection moulds
The runnerless injection mold refers to the method of adiabatic heating of the runner to keep the plastic between the nozzle and the cavity of the injection molding machine in a molten state, so that there is no condensate in the pouring system when the plastic part is taken out when the mold is opened. The former is called adiabatic runner injection mold, and the latter is called hot runner injection mold.

(7) Right-angle injection mold
Right-angle injection molds are only suitable for angle injection molding machines. Unlike other injection molds, the feeding direction of this type of mold during molding is perpendicular to the opening and closing direction. His main flow path is set on both sides of the moving and fixed mold parting surfaces, and its cross-sectional area is usually constant. This is different from other injection molds. The end of the main flow path is to prevent the injection molding machine. The nozzle and the inlet end of the main channel are worn and deformed, and a replaceable flow channel insert can be provided.

(8) Injection mold of mold release mechanism on fixed mold(Cavity)
In most injection molds, the ejection device is installed on the side of the movable mold, which is conducive to the work of the ejection device in the opening and closing mold system of the injection molding machine. In actual production, because some plastic parts are limited by shape, it is better to leave the plastic part on the side of the fixed mold. This makes the plastic part come out of the mold, so it must be set on the side of the fixed mold. mechanism.
